I originally bought this case for my Nuvi 265T. The case is long enough to use with widescreen models, but it worked OK with my "standard" width GPS. This sleeve type case fits nicely without extra bulk.
If you have a Garmin you need this case. It protects the screen and is easy to remove for Garmin use.
Fits 3.5 inch Nuvi perfectly. Holds securely so it wont fall out. Provides protection for screen and quick access to your GPS.
This carrying case is way too small for the Nuvi500 GPS. The GPS sticks out about 1/2 inch at the end. It's so tight a fit it's a struggle to get in and out of the case. I wrote to the shipper about it, but no response.
With something like this, it's hard to give it a good star rating. It fits well, but the case is really only designed to protect against scratches and dings of the LCD instead of the device itself. I ended up buying this case for my Garmin Nuvi 500. Yes, it does its job but it's rather dull. The case is sort of flimsy looking but it feels like it's decent quality to the touch. The Nuvi 500 fits pretty snug, so you don't have to worry about this thing slipping out and falling on the ground (where naturally, it'll hit a big rock and shatter the screen). It's a binary thing - either it works or it doesn't. If you plan on taking your GPS out of your car, or need to carry your Nuvi 500, pick up a slip case AND a screen protector of some sort.
